Johnny Got His Gun

Johnny Got His Gun, which was choreographed in the Fall of 2015, is about what happens when an individual’s mind is strong, but their body is failing. One of the dancers uses various dynamics and movement concepts to represent an individual’s mind, and the other dancer utilizes similar tools to demonstrate the body. The beginning of the piece will tell the story of the dancers realizing that the body is failing. The second section will show the anger of the mind as the body is struggling. The final section will be when the body must finally give up, and the mind has to find acceptance and peace in the situation.
